The #MeToo Movement has taken hold of politics in the United States, and it seems to have no remorse as countless politicians are forced to resign due to allegations of abuse towards women.
A new development in the country is the news of New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman resigning due to several abuse accusations against him, according to Reuters.
This came just hours after the allegations were published in the New Yorker and governor Cuomo recommended his resignation due to the indictments.
“In the last several hours, serious allegations, which I strongly contest, have been made against me,” Schneiderman told the press. “While these allegations are unrelated to my professional conduct or the operations of the office, they will effectively prevent me from leading the office’s work at this critical time. I, therefore, resign my office, effective at the close of business on May 8, 2018.”
This is yet another example of regular politicians being booted out of office due to unproven indictments against them. We saw this happen with Roy Moore in the Alabama Senate race. Both of these cases have not been proven in any way, and for both of these men, they have been publically humiliated because of it.
This is not to say that men are never guilty of sexual or physical abuse. If they did it, they did it; I hope they get tried and convicted, because that it a horrible crime to commit. However, if they didn’t do it, and the case against them remains empty, even after months since the initial allegation was set forth, then they ought to be left alone.
Men are not evil people, and women do not have the right to destroy a man’s reputation for no reason. This is the issue that #MeToo brings about. It treats all women as if they are angels that haven’t done anything wrong in their life, and because men are “dogs,” it is okay to treat them as such.
I thought women were on the side of equality. If equality is so important to them, why would they do things like this?
Just to be clear, all women are not guilty of this. In fact, a majority of women across the country try to steer clear of this behavior. But there are a lot of evil people out there, and it pains me to say that some of them are women.
Feminism has taken the stance that just because a woman accuses a man of sexual abuse, that man should be ashamed of himself and put away like an animal. They assume that women never lie and that men are inherently mean and disrespectful to women. Feminism never considers that women do lie, just like men do, and that a very large percentage of men are kind, respectful,, and courteous to the women they meet in their life.
Our country politics is threatened by the ideas expressed by the new feminist movement, and if we do not do something about it, our country will fall from the fundamental levels of society.
