Ex-CBS correspondent Lara Logan has recently come into the national spotlight after a podcast appearance with Breitbart’s Mike Ritland last week in which she called the media ‘mostly liberal,’ especially in the age of Donald Trump.
In the podcast, Logan criticized her former colleagues for their liberal coverage of foreign and domestic news. She also noted that most journalists themselves are left-wing in their personal views as well.
“The media everywhere is mostly liberal,” Logan insisted. “But in this country, 85 percent of journalists are registered Democrats.”
Logan went on to attack the frequent use of anonymous government sources by mainstream journalists, a practice mostly associated with The New York Times and The Washington Post.
“That’s not journalism, that’s horsesh*t,” Logan affirmed. “Responsibility for fake news begins with us. We bear some responsibility for that, and we’re not taking ownership of that and addressing it. We just want to blame it all on somebody else.”
Logan’s testament comes at a time where the majority of mainstream media outlets are critical of the president and of conservative viewpoints. In fact, media coverage of the White House since Trump’s inauguration has been over 90 percent negative, according to a study done by the Media Research Center.
